उसका ही नाम रक्खा है सफ़हाते वक़्त ने
जो हक़ की बात कहता था फितरत से मर्द था
The scroll of time saved only that name
He who is man and as truth teller got fame

अब मैं हरीमे नाज़ के जलवों में मस्त हूँ
वो अब नहीं रहा जो कभी दिल में दर्द था
Now I am engrossed in the chamber of beauty
Not remains in the heart the previous pain and agony

बदली हवाए इश्क़ से रंगत बहार की
चेहरा वो सुर्ख़ हो गया जो पहले ज़र्द था
Changes the color of spring as love blows new air
The face has become red pale which was there

मुंसिफ से जिसके ज़ुल्म का मैं मुददई हुआ
उसकी शिनाख्त याद है वो लाजवर्द था
I become complainant of the cruelties of one
Azure is identifying color therein does run

हासिल थी मुझको दौलते दीदार यार जब
जो सीमो ज़र था मेरी निगाहों में गर्द था
I possess the opulence of her sight lovely
So gold and silver appear as dust to my eyes totally

इरफ़ान उसके फैज़ से हासिल हुआ सुहैल
छाया हुआ ख़याल में जो एक फ़र्द था
I attained ultimate knowledge by his grace
An individual pervades mind with eloquent face

गुलशन नवर्द =बाग़ में फिरने वाला,हरीमे नाज़=सौंदर्य का कक्ष ,सुर्ख़=लाल ,ज़र्द=पीला,मुददई=दावा करने वाला,लाजवर्द =नीला,अर्थात आकाश,सीमो ज़र=सोना चाँदी,इरफ़ान =आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान ,फैज़ =दया,फ़र्द=व्यक्ति विशेष
