बस साख्त से ज़ाहिर है रिफ़ाक़त का इशारा
यूँ उसका मकाँ और है और मेरा मकाँ और
The structure has indication of our intense intimacy
The different was her house and that of mine apparently

झंझट में पड़े रहते हैं बस चाहने वाले
है सोच अलग उसकी तो है उसकी ज़बाँ और
They are embarrassed those who are in love with her
Because her thinking is different and expression dissimilar

कहता है ज़माना जिसे दीवानगिये इश्क़
इस कैफ़ियते दिल पे तो उसका है बयाँ और
That which is considered as midsummer madness generally
But for that very state of emotion with different context thinks she
वो आये तो हम साथ में मौजों के निकल जाएँ
इस वक़्त तो दरियाए तमन्ना है रवां और
Hope she may join and we may move ahead together
As at the moment is flowing favorably desire's river

चलते हुए देखा निगहे नाज़ से अब तीर
रंगीं हुई जाती है फ़ज़ाए ऱगे जां और
Saw I the lovely eyes released the arrow to me
Began to become more colorful my life artery

जज़्बात छिपाने में पसीने तेरे छूटे
इससे तो हुआ जाता है ग़म तेरा अयाँ और
Thou perspired to hide the emotional reality
And such effort manifests thy natural agony

बाक़ी हैं अभी सूइयाँ आँखों की दमे वस्ल
दरकार हमें अब भी है कुछ अज़्मे जवाँ और
Very little was left for accomplishment in togetherness
Need at this juncture I the little more spirit of youthfulness

उलझन ये मुलाक़ात में क्योंकर है बताएं
लगता है कि जाना है तो जाना है कहाँ और
Looking restless thou art during meeting
Where else tell thou seemingly intend going

हलचल में सुहैल उसको मज़ा आता है इतना
उश्शाक़ से कहता है कि हो आहो फ़ुग़ाँ और
She gets pleasure in bustling and around stir
Urges she the lovers hue and cry here must incur

साख्त =आकार ,रिफ़ाक़त =घनिष्टता ,बयां =कथन ,रवाँ=बहना ,निगहे नाज़ =सुन्दर आँखें ,रगे जां=जीवन धमनी ,दमे वस्ल =मिलन की घडी ,दरकार =आवश्यक ,अज़्मे जवां=द्रढ़ निश्चय, अयाँ=स्पष्ट ,उश्शाक़ =बहोत से प्रेमी ,आहो फ़ुग़ाँ =विरह में रोना चिल्लाना
