राह हमवार उधर होती रही फूल खिले
साथ उसके मेरा आग़ाज़े सफर होने तक
The path went on becoming smooth and bloomed flowers
Till the time there had been start of journey ,to be terse

सोच कर इसको तो अब लुत्फ़ ही आता है हमें
किसकदर तल्ख़ था वो शीरोशकर होने तक
It is now a matter of pleasure while I contemplate
How bitter was she before she turned loving mate

हो गया जब वो शगुफ्ता तो खिला गुल की तरह
मुज़्तरिब था वो मोहब्बत का असर होने तक
when fell in love flower like freshness she attained
Perturbed was she before love upon her rained

बंदगी के जो तक़ाज़े थे व पूरे न हुए
वक़्त कुछ भी न लगा खैर को शर होने तक
The demands of bondage were not fulfilled when
In no time virtue had bee transformed into vise then

मुझमें इक वलवलये शौक़ रहा लुत्फ़ रहा
साथ उसके मेरी उल्फत में बसर होने तक
There had been stir in emotions and jocosity
During time spent in love with her in her company

दिल जो बैचैन था बेचैन रहा मेरा सुहैल
शाम के होने तलक और सहर होने तक
Heart was exasperated and remained gloomy
To the evening and till the morning incessantly
