सैर करने को जो गुल अंदाम गुलशन में नहीं
है तेही कुछ भी तो फसले गुल के दामन में नहीं
When one having soft steps does not stroll in the garden
Empty and nothing is here in the season of the flower then

जगमगा उठता है इख़्फ़ा के तसव्वुर में ज़हूर
ढूंढ कर पाते हैं जब हम यार चिलमन में नहीं
Brightened in the thought of concealment the idea of Self Revelation
Searched we and found beloved absent behind the curtain strange citation

इश्क़ में जब हो ये हालत उसका फिर क्या पूछना
मुत्मइन वो भी है दिल मेरा भी उलझन में नहीं
If in love such stage comes that is beyond question
When looks satisfied she and I too am in pacification

आग खुद उसकी निगह्बां हो गयी है इनदिनों
बर्क़ का कुछ खौफ मेरे दिल के खिरमन में नहीं
The fire itself has become protector of that now
So there is no fear of lightening within the barely mow

दिल लगाने से परागन्दा ख़याली हो गयी
जान जो मन में नहीं है इसलिए तन में नहीं
In love the thoughts have been scattered
Heart lost energy so body is also shattered

ऐसी तब्दीली मिज़ाजे हुस्न में आयी सुहैल
जो मज़ा पहले था उससे अब वो अनबन में नहीं
Such change has occurred in the mood of beauty
What joy in clash was there is missing presently

बाजुए आशिक़ हिमायल=प्रेमी के हाथ प्रेयसी के गले में ,गुल अंदाम गुलशन में नहीं =फूलों जैसी कोमल चाल वाला, तेही=खाली ,फसले गुल=फूलों का मौसम,बहार,जगमगा उठता है इख़्फ़ा के तसव्वुर में ज़हूर =लुप्त होने की कल्पना से स्पष्ट होने की जगमगाहट ,चिलमन=पर्दा , मुत्मइन =संतुष्ट ,निगह्बां=रक्षक ,बर्क़=बिजली ,दिल का खिरमन=दिल का खलिहान,परागन्दा ख़याली=विचारों का बिखराओ , तब्दीली मिज़ाजे हुस्न में आयी=सौंदर्य के सवभाव में परिवर्तन
