Chandra Shekhar Verma is my friend. He is associated with Mr. Tarun Prakash, a poet and writer of high profile and another very close friend of mine. I visit his office where I met Chandra Shekhar Ji about 2 years back and he came closer to me. He is very simple man with village background. Rural style prevails over his whole personality. Just for the sake of fun I try to describe humorously some aspects of his behavior which other common friends enjoy. The following poem is also a part of the series. One who has read “Shabby Genteel of a gentleman” and “Character of man in black” would draw a picture of Chandra Shekhar in his mind. When I saw him and his shoes my attention was attracted towards him because his shoes were torn from place to place. That time my mind fabricated stories about his poverty but next day the shoes he was wearing were entirely changed and I had to change my opinion. Chandra Shekhar Ji still pulls a bicycle although he has got a bike as well in his possession but and he happy with his saintly way of life. He is careless about his dress but very careful in his work. Chandra Shekhar starts some conversation and he does not care about the interruption of any man. Thus he completes the subjects that he chose to deal with and describe to the end his story and that way he defeats those rivals who interfere in his conversation and he leaves all of them dumb founded. His competence in work is so prominent that like Mrs. Micobar, Tarun would say always that I never will desert Chandra Shekhar. He has treated me only once with half bread of cornflour which was shared by his colleagues Md. Tauseef Siddiqui & Md. Meraj Siddiqui and I wish I should have something more and that too alone. I have tried to ask with indications the Chandra Shekhar would bring Puri (a kind of bread) & Sabzi (vegetable) for me but he is not positive about it and my desire is looking at Chandra Shekhar with results not known to me. When he comes back to the office after completing his work in court he becomes mellow dramatic and I leave readers to visualize about it. Although he keeps mobile phone in his pocket or somewhere else but torture his friends by not receiving their calls and that way sometimes he becomes irksome but when he receives it “Hari Om!” he says.

How simple he is, although there are so many,

Yet he is one among lakhs--Chandra Shekhar

He is warmhearted although there are many like him, Notice Tauseef

But he is peculiar --Named Chandra Shekhar

Giving some oil and refined flour

Wife commands, "Bake,Chandrashekhar"

One who came in his disguise

Was nothing but fake Chandra Shekhar.

He likes sweets made in village typical rural,

And rejects to eat the cake--Chandra Shekhar

We extend hand towards him,

We ask him "shake" -- Chandra Shekhar

Handing over him some notes Tarun Ji says,

knowing only two "Take,Chandra Shekhar"
.The condition of the shoes worn by thee,

Torn they are surely a local make--Chandra Shekhar
He resembles in innocence with duck
So no harm to call him "drake" Chanra Shekhar

They are so many features in him which make us laugh,

Come to us Oh! Laughing lake ---Chandra Shekhar

CHANDRASHEKHAR.

Wo kitne hain nek Chandra Shekhar,

Lakhon me hain ek Chandra Shekhar.

Inki to alag hai baat Tauseef,

Hain yun to anek Chandra Shekhar

Patni ne diya tha ghee men maida
kehne lagin bake Chandra Shekhar

.Makeup me jo unke mil gya tha,

Vo shakhs tha fake Chandra Shekhar.

Gaon ki mithai ke hain rasiya,

Khate nahi cake Chandra Shekhar.

Dekar unhe note kuch Tarun Ji,

Kahne lage take Chandra Shekhar.

Hum hand badha ke kah rahe hain,

Kar lijiye shake Chandra Shekhar

Battakh ka sa unmen bholapan hai
sab unkop kahen drake Chandra Shekhar

Joota jo pahen ke aap aaye,

Desi hai vo make Chandra Shekhar

Samaane hansi Suhail hain vo

Khushiyon ki hain lake Chandra Shekhar.

How simple like rake-- Chandra Shekhar
