मोहब्बत से वो कतराया दिवाला दिल का निकला है
गवारा कब किया मिलना दिवाला दिल का निकला है
She has connived love heart has been smashed
Meeting she ignored heart has been smashed
बहोत चालाक था रहज़न उधर हम अक़्ल से पैदल
लगा ही रह गया धड़का दिवाला दिल का निकला है
The thief of the way was cunnig and stupid remained I
Kept conceiving fear and heart turned bankrupt
कहाँ तक उसकी भरपाई करें हम उसका कहना था
है मेरा रोज़ का क़िस्सा दिवाला दिल का निकला है
She said that how much as acquittance she may provide
As every day's tale of mine is "heart turned bankrupt"
मेरी सारी तमन्नाएँ चुरा कर ले गया कोई
बचा कुछ भी नहीं अपना दिवाला दिल का निकला है
All my desires have been stolen by someone
Nothing remained with me and heart turned bankrupt
अजब थी प्यास मेरी होंठ अब तक खुश्क हैं मेरे
समंदर का उधर शिकवा दिवाला दिल का निकला है
Strange was my thirst still lips are dry
And there the ocean complains, heart turned bankrupt
वही सरमाया जिसको सब्र कहते हैं वो मेरा था
कहा उसने बस इक जुमला दिवाला दिल का निकला था
The capital was patience which I ever possessed
She only uttered a sentence and heart turned bankrupt
गए मैखाने और आये मिले साक़िए मेहविश से
समझ में लौट कर आया दिवाला दिल का निकला है
Went to the tavern, came back, met the moony barmaid
On return realized that heart turned bankrupt
जहाँ अफ़कार के मोती थे मेरे उस ख़ज़ाने पर
सुहैल उसने किया क़ब्ज़ा दिवाला दिल का निकला है
Upon the treasure where laid the pearls of my ideas
She took possession of that and heart turned bankrupt
